The product in plain terms

What is Cardionix?

Cardionix is a food supplement in capsule form, built around sugar metabolism. Each capsule brings together four micronutrients (vitamin C, vitamin D, magnesium and chromium picolinate) and seven plant extracts concentrated at a 4:1 ratio: turmeric, cacao, gymnema, cinnamon, bitter melon, banaba and butcher's broom.

What the product does comes down to three lines. Chromium contributes to the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels and to normal macronutrient metabolism. Magnesium and vitamin C contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. The seven plant extracts round out the formula on the digestive and circulatory side.

This is not a medicine. Cardionix is not intended to treat any illness and replaces neither prescribed medication nor a balanced diet: it sits alongside them, it corrects nothing.

What it does, precisely

What are the effects of Cardionix?

Four effects, each tied to a named active and to its amount. No vague promises: this is what the formula can genuinely support.

Helps keep blood glucose levels normal

This is the best established effect in the formula. Chromium picolinate, at 1.2 mg per capsule, contributes to the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels. In practice, it helps the body make better use of the sugar arriving in the blood just after a meal rather than letting it sit there.

Eases tiredness and the afternoon slump

Vitamin C (90 mg) and magnesium both contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Taken daily, it is the mid-afternoon dip that softens first: the one that follows a heavy lunch and has you reaching for something sweet around 4pm.

Supports circulation and lighter feeling legs

Butcher's broom has long been used for circulatory comfort, and in particular for the heavy legs felt at the end of the day. Cacao and turmeric, the two most heavily dosed extracts in the formula, bring their polyphenols to the same job.

Helps the body draw energy from food

Chromium contributes to normal macronutrient metabolism, meaning sugars, fats and proteins. Magnesium, for its part, contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism. What you eat is turned into usable energy more efficiently.

The logic of the formula

How does the Cardionix formula work?

The eleven actives do not pull in every direction at once. They sit on two axes, and the timing of the dose follows directly from the first.

Axis 1

Slowing the sugar spike after a meal

A meal sends a wave of glucose into the blood. Chromium helps keep blood glucose levels normal, while gymnema, cinnamon, bitter melon and banaba, all traditionally used alongside sugar metabolism, fill out the effect. That is exactly why the capsule is taken 15 to 30 minutes before you sit down to eat: the actives are in place when the wave arrives, not an hour later.

  • Chromium picolinate1.2 mg
  • Gymnema sylvestre 4:150 mg
  • Cinnamon bark 4:150 mg
  • Bitter melon and banaba 4:15 mg each
Axis 2

Keeping circulation and energy ticking over

The second side covers what circulates and what tires. Butcher's broom is aimed at vein comfort and the heavy-leg feeling. Turmeric and cacao, the two most heavily dosed extracts, bring their polyphenols. Behind them, vitamin C, vitamin D and magnesium cover tiredness and energy metabolism, so the effect is felt across the day and not only on digestion.

  • Vitamin C90 mg
  • Magnesium (oxide)20 mg

Active by active

What exactly is in Cardionix?

Six actives are worth a word of explanation. The table below then lists all eleven, with the exact amount in each capsule.

Chromium picolinate

1.2 mg

The only active in the formula carrying an authorised health claim on the GB register: it contributes to the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels and to normal macronutrient metabolism. It is the pivot of the product.

Gymnema sylvestre

50 mg, 4:1

A climbing plant from India and a mainstay of Ayurvedic practice. Its leaves have one well known quirk: chewed, they briefly dull the perception of sweetness on the tongue.

Cinnamon bark

50 mg, 4:1

The most studied spice in the blood sugar field. It appears here as a bark extract concentrated four times over, not as the ground cinnamon from the kitchen cupboard.

Curcuma longa

200 mg, 4:1

The most heavily dosed active in Cardionix. Its curcumin is one of the best documented plant polyphenols, usually associated with digestive and joint comfort.

Butcher's broom

5 mg, 4:1

Ruscus aculeatus is the reference plant for circulatory comfort. It is the only active in the formula pointed at venous return and the heavy-leg feeling.

Magnesium and vitamin C

20 mg, 90 mg

The anti-fatigue pair in the formula. Both contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and to normal energy-yielding metabolism. They carry the part of the effect you notice across the day.

The 4:1 marking means an extract concentrated four times over: four kilos of dried plant give one kilo of extract. The full ingredient list, excipients included, is printed on the packaging of the product delivered to you.

The daily habit

How do you take Cardionix?

One capsule a day, not two. It is taken 15 to 30 minutes before the main meal of the day, the heaviest one. Swallow it whole with a large glass of water.

If capsules are awkward for you, this one opens: tip the contents into half a glass of water and drink straight away. The taste is blunt, with turmeric well to the fore.

The bottle holds 30 capsules, a full month. A food supplement is judged over time rather than over three days: allow at least one complete month before taking stock.

  1. Pick your meal

Work out which of your meals is the heaviest. For most people that is lunch or dinner. Then stay with the same meal from one day to the next.

  2. Take the capsule around twenty minutes beforehand

That is the time the actives need to be in place when the sugar from the meal reaches the blood. Any later and the point of the dose is lost.

  3. Swallow with a large glass of water

A 250 ml glass is enough. If swallowing is difficult, open the capsule, stir the powder into a little cold water and drink without waiting.

  4. Keep it up for a month

One bottle covers 30 days. Take the capsule at a set time: with a food supplement, consistency counts for more than the dose.

Precautions and sensible use

Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. That means one capsule. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Cardionix does not replace medical treatment either.

Not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, or for anyone under 18. If you are on medication, in particular for diabetes or blood thinning, ask your GP or pharmacist before the first capsule: cinnamon, gymnema and turmeric can interact. Keep out of reach of young children, and store in a dry place away from light.

What sets the product apart

Why choose Cardionix?

Man holding his bottle of Cardionix, a daily routine kept up over time
  • Every dose is on the label

No proprietary blend, no amount hidden behind a trade name. All eleven actives are listed with their exact weight per capsule, which lets you compare line by line with anything else on the shelf.

  • Seven 4:1 concentrated extracts

A 4:1 ratio means that four kilos of dried plant give one kilo of extract. Weight for stated weight, the extract therefore carries considerably more active matter than the raw plant powder used in entry-level formulas.

  • A deliberate anti-fatigue side

Magnesium and vitamin C are not there to pad out the label. Both contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and to normal energy-yielding metabolism: that is the side you notice day to day, on top of the slower work on blood sugar.

  • Designed to be kept up

One capsule a day, one bottle covering the whole month. It is the simplest format to stay with without thinking about it, and with a food supplement, consistency is what makes the difference.

  • No GMOs
  • Plant-based formula
  • Capsule can be opened

Buyer feedback

Cardionix customer reviews

Average rating of 4.5 out of 5 from 211 published reviews. These accounts describe individual experiences and are not a promise of results.

★★★★★

I have taken one capsule before lunch for six weeks now. What has shifted for me is the afternoon: I am no longer hunting for a biscuit at four o'clock. The bottle is small enough to live in my bag.

Hannah W.Manchester, six weeks in

★★★★★

I was wary of the capsule size, but these go down easily with a glass of water. I also liked seeing the amounts written out in full, which is rarer than you would think on this shelf.

Graham P.Bristol, one bottle finished

★★★★☆

Three weeks in. I feel less heavy after lunch and less inclined to pick at things in the evening. One star off because the delivery took eight days to reach me.

Priya S.Leeds, three weeks in

★★★★★

My GP confirmed there was nothing in it that clashed with what I already take, so I could start with a clear head. One capsule before dinner is easy enough to remember.

Douglas F.Glasgow, two months in

★★★★★

What I like is not juggling three different tubs every morning. It is all in the one capsule, so I actually remember to take it.

Eleanor H.Norwich, five weeks in

★★★★☆

Onto my second bottle. I take it before dinner, which is my biggest meal. Nothing dramatic, but I feel steadier in the evening and less drawn to the cupboard in front of the television.

The questions we get

Frequently asked questions

How many capsules are in a bottle of Cardionix?

Thirty capsules, one a day, so a full month of use. The dose is one capsule daily and it should not be exceeded.

When in the day should it be taken?

Fifteen to thirty minutes before the main meal, the heaviest one. Lunch or dinner depending on your habits, but keep to the same meal from one day to the next: consistency counts for more than the exact hour.

Can the capsule be opened?

Yes. If you find capsules hard to swallow, open it, tip the powder into half a glass of cold water and drink straight away. The taste is strong, with turmeric clearly dominant.

How long before anything is noticeable?

A food supplement is judged over a complete course, a month at the very least. The effects build gradually and vary from one person to the next depending on diet and lifestyle. Three days of use tells you nothing.

Is Cardionix suitable for vegetarians?

The formula is plant-based and the bottle carries the wording Premium Plant-Based Formula. If you are strictly vegan, check the nature of the capsule shell on the packaging you receive.

Are there any contraindications?

The product is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, or for anyone under 18. If you take medication for diabetes or blood thinning, speak to your GP before starting: cinnamon, gymnema and turmeric can interact with those medicines.

Does Cardionix replace medical treatment?

No, under no circumstances. It is a food supplement, not a medicine. It is not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent any disease, and it replaces neither a balanced diet nor a prescription you are already on.

How do ordering and delivery work?

The order is completed with the partner seller, who takes the payment, packs the parcel, handles tracking and looks after aftersales. Delivery times, postage and returns are those shown on their order page.

Take back control with Cardionix

One bottle covers thirty days. That is the shortest run on which a food supplement can honestly be judged.
